EN1092-1 Flange Order From Lebanon Customer

EN1092-1 flange is a European standard that specifies requirements for the dimensions, types, materials, and pressure levels. ZIZI ENGEERING CO LTD specialize in producing EN1092-1 flange, and we can also produce various standard flanges. At 15th, August, we have received an order from Lebanese customer regarding EN1092-1 TYPE11 flange. They need 900 pieces in size: DN25. Pressure: PN16. Material: carbon steel. We delivered the goods quickly and provided quality inspection photos.

Types of EN1092-1 Flange

EN1092-1 flange include a variety of flange types. Such as TYPE01 plate flanges. TYPE02 loose plate flanges with weld on plate collar or for lapped pipe end. TPYE05 blind flanges. TYPE11 weld neck flanges, and so on. Each type has different dimensional requirements, such as flange diameter, flange thickness, bolt hole diameter, and bolt quantity.

Scope of EN1092-1 Flange

Type 11 Flange

EN1092-1 TYPE11 flange is similar to American standard weld neck flange. Weld neck flanges are not easy to deform and are used in conjunction with bolts and gaskets. They have good sealing performance, corresponding rigidity and elasticity requirements, and reasonable welding thinning transition. 

EN1092-1 type11 flange is widely used in many industries, such as petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, etc.

    What is the difference between EN1092-1 and ASME B16.5 Flange

    Standard

    EN1092-1 is an important standard in the European flange standard system. It is mainly based on the German DIN standard, French NF standard, and British BS standard. EN1092-1 flange is widely used in Europe and countries and regions that adopt European standards.

    ASME B16.5 is a standard developed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). This standard has been widely applied globally, especially in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power, and nuclear energy.

    Application and Pressure

    EN1092-1: covers multiple pressure levels with nominal pressures ranging from PN2.5 to PN100, as well as flanges with nominal sizes ranging from DN10 to DN2000.

    ASME B16.5: Suitable for steel pipe flanges and their supporting components with nominal diameters ranging from 1/2 inch to 24 inches, with pressure ratings ranging from Class 150 to Class 2500 pounds (approximately corresponding to PN 10 to PN 420) to meet the requirements of different pressure environments.

    Structural Form and Size

    EN1092-1: Provides detailed specifications for the outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness, bolt hole position, quantity, and size of flanges, and provides strict tolerance ranges.

    ASME B16.5 also specifies various structural forms and dimensional parameters of flanges, including WN(weld neck) , SO (slip on), BL (blind), SW (socket weld) and other types of flanges.
