What is Carbon Steel Hex Bushing
Carbon steel hex bushing is used to reduce the size of female threads from a larger to a smaller diameter. Hex Bushings are threaded fittings that have male threads on the outside and female threads on the inside with a hex head used to tighten the fitting into the threaded opening.
ASME B16.11 forged threaded bushing has hex head bushing, flush bushing and reducing bushing. They are manufactured in accordance with ASME standard. Carbon steel hex bushing is common used material. They do not require welding, so easy to install and modify for adding to these systems. Carbon stee hex bushing is similar as plug, the difference is the solid or hole. They are used for closing off the end of different pipes and fittings .The final function is leak proof.
