ASME B16.11 forged fittings, usually refer to two types of fittings: socket welding and threaded fittings. They are a type of pipe fittings produced using forging technology according to ASME B16.11 as the production standard. What is ASME B16.11 Standard
ASME B16.11 including pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, tolerances, marking and material requirements is the standard for forged fittings. Threaded fittings are available in pressure ratings Class 2000, 3000, and 6000. Socket weld fittings are available in pressure ratings Class 3000, 6000, and 9000. Sizes (NPS) from 1/8″ through 4″. Socket weld fittings can be furnished in product forms of 90 deg elbow, 45 deg elbow, cross, tee, coupling, half coupling, boss, cap, and couplet. Threaded fittings can be furnished in product forms of 90 deg elbow, 45 deg elbow, cross, tee, street elbow, coupling, boss, cap, couplet, plug and bushing.
Types of ASME B16.11 Forged Fittings
ASME B16.11 forged fittings are made by the round steel or ingot by forging which including socket weld fittings and threaded fittings.
It covers 45 Degree Elbow, 90 Degree Elbow, Equal Tee, Reducing Tee, Cross Tee, Full Coupling, Half Coupling, Pipe Cap, Socket Weld Union and Swage Nipple.
