How to Inspect of Stainless Steel 904L Flange

1.Chemical composition testing:
Use spectroscopic or chemical analysis methods to test the chemical composition of stainless steel 904L flange, ensuring that the content of key elements such as nickel, chromium, and molybdenum meets the requirements of ASTM A182 F904L or other relevant standards.
2.Mechanical performance inspection:
Tensile test: tests the tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of the flange.
Impact test: Evaluate the toughness of flanges at low temperatures.
Hardness testing: To measure the hardness of a flange through Brinell, Rockwell, or Vickers hardness testing.
3.Non destructive testing:

5.Appearance inspection:

Check if the marking of the flange is clear, including material grade, specifications, size, pressure, manufacturer information, etc.
Types of EN1092-1 Flange
EN1092-1 is a flange standard of European.Its specifies requirements for the dimensions, types, materials, and manufacturing of flanges under different pressure levels. This standard ensures the interchangeability and compatibility of flanges, allowing pipe fittings produced by different manufacturers to be smoothly connected.
